Fixing AI Credit Issues
AI Credits power every generation in RankFrame. When something goes wrong with credits, balance not showing, generation failing, purchase not reflecting, the fix is usually quick. This article covers every credits-related symptom and its resolution.

Before You Run a Bulk Generation: Check your credit balance first. Multiply the number of selected images by 1 to estimate the credit cost. Make sure your balance covers the full batch of Framer images before you start.
Balance Shows 0 and You Cannot Generate
Cause: Your AI credits are fully exhausted.
Fix: Click the Buy Credits button in the Image SEO header and purchase a refill. The balance updates immediately after a successful purchase.
You Purchased Credits but Balance Did Not Update
Cause: Payment succeeded but the sync between Polar.sh and RankFrame is momentarily delayed.
Fix: Click the refresh icon inside the credits badge in the Image SEO header. If the balance still does not update after 5 minutes, contact hello@7seersmedia.com with your Polar.sh receipt.
AI Generation Produces Blank or Very Short Output
Cause: The Personalization tab is empty or nearly empty, giving the AI no brand context to work from.
Fix: Open Account Settings > Personalization tab. Fill in Brand Name, Brand About, and at least two Strategy fields. Then retry the generation.
Bulk Alt Text Stopped Mid-Generation
Cause: Credits ran out partway through a bulk run. Images processed before credits were exhausted will have saved alt text; the remaining images were not processed.
Fix: Check the credits badge balance, buy a refill, then reselect the images that did not generate and run Generate Alt Text again.
Generation Fails with an Error Message
Cause: A network issue or temporary API outage interrupted the generation request.
Fix: Wait 2 to 3 minutes and retry. If the error persists, check that the plugin has a network connection and that you are not behind a VPN or firewall blocking external API calls.
Credits Were Consumed but Generation Produced Wrong Output
Cause: Credits are consumed when a generation runs, regardless of output quality. This is expected behavior by design.
Fix: You can regenerate (this costs one additional credit) to get better output, or edit the AI output manually in the alt text field. Improving your Personalization settings before regenerating usually produces significantly better results.
