1. What One Credit Does

One credit equals one AI generation. Each individual output from the AI costs exactly one credit, regardless of which Framer SEO feature triggered it. Here are examples of how credits are consumed:

• Generating a meta title for one page = 1 credit

• Generating a meta description for one page = 1 credit

• Generating alt text for one image = 1 credit

• Bulk generating alt text for 72 images = 72 credits

• Auto-generating a schema field set for one page = 1 credit

Credits are only consumed when a generation completes. Viewing, editing, or deleting existing content does not use credits.

2. Credits Balance Badge

Your current credit balance is always visible in the Image SEO header as a dark red/coral pill badge. It includes a refresh icon you can tap to force a live sync from the server. When your balance is loaded it shows the count, for example "60,498 Credits". When empty it shows "0 Credits". Check this badge before starting any bulk generation to make sure you have enough credits to complete the run.

3. Buy Credits Button

The purple Buy Credits button sits in the Image SEO header, next to the balance badge. Clicking it opens the top-up modal where you select a credit package and complete payment through Polar.sh. Your balance updates inside the plugin within a few seconds of a successful purchase. You can also buy credits from dashboard.rankframe.com if you prefer to manage credits outside the plugin.

4. Credit Pricing

Three pricing tiers are available. The first-time offer is the best value and is only available once per account:

• First-time offer: 30,000 credits for $49 (one-time discount, first purchase only)

• Regular refill: 30,000 credits for $100

• Smaller tier: 1,000 credits for $10

If you have not yet made your first credit purchase, use the first-time offer. The $49 rate gives you roughly double the credits per dollar compared to the regular refill price.

5. Starter Credits (Trial)

Your 7-day free trial includes approximately 500 starter credits at no charge. These are added automatically when you connect your first site. They are enough to generate meta titles and descriptions for 10 to 20 pages, or to test bulk alt text on a small image set. Starter credits give you a realistic sense of AI output quality before you commit to a credit purchase.

6. Credits Do Not Expire

Credits stay valid as long as your subscription is active. There is no monthly reset and no expiry date attached to a credit purchase. A large refill will cover months of activity. If your subscription lapses and then you renew, your remaining credit balance is restored with your account.

7. Credits Are Non-Refundable

Once a credit is consumed by a completed generation, it cannot be refunded. Failed generations caused by a plugin error or network timeout should not consume credits. Credit Planning Guide

Use the estimates below to choose the right credit package for your site. These assume a full initial generation pass (meta titles, descriptions, and alt text) followed by ongoing maintenance updates.

Small Portfolio (~50 credits): 10-page site. Covers meta titles and descriptions for all pages plus alt text for a small image set. Refill once per quarter.

Medium Agency Site (~300 credits): 50-page site with approximately 200 images. Initial bulk generation plus room for periodic updates when content changes.

Large CMS Site (500-1,000 credits): 500+ images on a content-heavy site. Budget 500 credits for the initial bulk alt text run, then 200-300 per quarter for new content.
